1408 Verified Signatories

Following the ending of the signing period (March 6th to March 20th), we have had the opportunity to undertake a review of the responses. The final total is 1408 verified signatures. We received responses from a significant cross-section of the Ontario psychological community, encompassing a wide variety of practice areas, including registrants, trainees, professors, retired registrants, psychological associates, and behaviour analysts. In addition, signatures were received, but not counted, from psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and psychotherapists.


A version of the letter updated to contain the total number of signatories will be published on this website, as well as provided to the CPBAO board, the office of the Premier, the office of the Minister of Health, and members of the media. 

  

We will continue to host the letter and final count on this page for the foreseeable future, and will be reaching out to certain respondents who included messages in their responses to ask them if they would be comfortable with us publishing anonymized versions of their messages, which on the whole spoke to the concerns of the psychological community in a clear, professional, and well-thought out manner.
